Kim Kardashian: What She Loves About Kris

Some might see Kim Kardashian's surprise engagement to NBA star Kris Humphries as a whirlwind romance, but the couple knew right away that they were meant to be together.

"I think probably within a month of meeting her I knew she was 'The One,' " gushes, Humphries, 26, who has been dating Kardashian for about six months.

So what is it about the hunky New Jersey Nets player that had Kardashian at hello?

"I really fell in love with him as a person – he's such a good person with a good heart," Kardashian, 30 tells PEOPLE proudly. "Everyone that meets him says the same thing."

After meeting in November during basketball season, the couple engaged in long talks on the phone to get to know one another. "We worked hard at it," says Humphries.

Keeping up with the Kardashians is no easy task, but Humphries fits right in with the big, chaotic and loving family. "He's so funny," says Kardashian. "He has such a great sense of humor."

And with Kardashian's hectic schedule, she loves having someone calm, fun and funny to come home to.

"If I've had a long day, I'm working really hard or I'm stressed, I just can't wait to come home to him," she says. "The time that we've spent together, we have so much fun together and he always, no matter what, puts me in a good mood."

Kim K Moving to NYC for Kris Humphries

No more long-distance love!

A source tells the new Us Weekly (out Wednesday) that Kim Kardashian plans to move to NYC by October to be closer to her beau of five months, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries.

"Kim wants to live in NYC when Kris' season starts again," the insider says of the reality star, 30.

"She and Kourtney are probably going to film another season of their E! show [Kourtney and Kim Take New York] anyway, so it just makes sense."

Things have gotten serious for Kim and Humphries, 26, adds another pal: "This is it for her. I foresee an engagement this summer."

Kardashian herself tells us that it may be time to start packing. "It's the next normal step!" She says. "L.A. will always be my home, but it's about time I look in New York too."

Adds another source: "She's in NYC so much more now."

Showing some celebrity support, Kim Kardashian was spotted on the sidelines as Kris Humphries and the New Jersey Nets took on the Utah Jazz last night (January 19).

Joined by her sister Kourtney’s boyfriend Scott Disick, the “Disaster Movie” babe enjoyed her courtside seats at the Prudential Center as the Nets beat the Jazz 103-95.

Kim Kardashian's got a brand new man!

Just days after splitting from Gabriel Aubry, the reality star stepped out with New Jersey Nets basketball player Kris Humphries Friday in New York City.

Decked out in a white fur coat, Kardashian, 30, took her new romance public while party-hopping in the city with Humphries, 25.

After checking out Z100's Jingle Ball concert -- featuring Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez and Katy Perry -- the pair headed to NYC's Provocateur lounge, where they were spotted partying until nearly 2 a.m.

Though they tried to avoid being photographed together, the couple was eventually snapped while entering Kardashian's hotel in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

The reality star and mogul -- who split from Halle Berry's model ex Aubry after a few, intense weeks together -- says she's having "fun" dating.

In fact, Kardashian tells Us Magazine she has no preference when it comes to dating an athlete over a model.

"I'd rather date someone with a good heart," she told Us at Friday's Jingle Ball.

As for the motivation behind her split from Aubry, an insider tells Us things were "moving too fast," and the twosome are "better off as friends."

Kim Kardashian Moves On With A New Jock

The newest jock to make Kim Kardashian’s All-Star team is New Jersey Nets power forward Kris Humphries.

After the socialite’s relationship with Halle Berry's ex, Canadian model Gabriel Aubry flamed out quickly, a source told People, she's taking it up a notch with Humphries, a rebounding ace who she's been seeing "for a while now.

"Kim was dating, seeing a few guys and Gabriel and Kris were both of the guys," the source said of the socialite, who's also been involved with NFL stars Reggie Bush and Miles Austin this year. "She is single after all!"

Last week, Kim addressed the misconceptions that sprout up in the tabloids whenever she's seen out on the town with alongside a new beefcake.

"If I'm photographed on five different dates, [it's assumed] I am the town slore, and I could have never hooked up with any of these people," she told Ryan Seacrest. "Sometimes I just wanna date whoever ... even if I never sleep with someone, and I'm photographed with three different guys, they assume I've slept with all three guys."
